The Peale Family

This page is Obviously under construction. It will take quit a while to fill the museum with all the facts and paintings I have collected.

Charles Willson Peale was a great artist; a great patriot; a great scientist; and a great family man (17 children, I think this would qualify as magnificent, but I wanted to stay with a theme)

Some quick facts, there will be paintings here tomorrow -

• Charles Peale (1688-1734) and Elizabeth Camparl (? - 1735) had a son Charles Peale
• Charles Peale (1709-1750) was accused of embezzelment in England, came to America and married Margret Triggs (1709-1791)
• Charles Willson Peale (1741-1809) fathered 17 children by three wives;
  Rachell Brewer (1744-1790)
  Elizabeth DePeyster (1765-1804) and
  Hannah Moore (1755-1821)
